About Relaxation Emporium
The idea of Relaxation Emporium came up one evening when I (Art Turner) and my wife Teresa were talking with our good friends Marc and Ann Bowman. We were brainstorming about ways to market my instrumental piano music and my recent CD Art Effects.
One thing that kept coming up is how my music seems to help people relax. Each of us had heard from people who would take a break from the stress of the day by closing their office door, dimming the lights, and listening to the Art Effects CD for a few minutes.
Internet marketing guru Perry Marshall once wrote: "Nobody who bought a drill wanted a drill. They wanted a hole." And this simple truth helped me realize that nobody who bought my music wanted my music. They wanted to relax. Or they wanted to pray. Or they wanted to feel however it is my music makes them feel.
So the idea of Relaxation Emporium was a natural, logical conclusion. If people want to learn how to relax, and how to manage their stress, then there might be interest in a site that contains information on how to relax and manage stress.
Relaxation Emporium is first of all an information source. And we are adding new content everyday. Plus, there are several newsfeeds on the Resources page and a growing number of articles on the blog.
In addition to the informational content, Relaxation Emporium is also, well, an emporium. Kind of like a department store or a mall. Along with the various relaxation techniques and resources, there are links to merchants on the web who offer products that you might find useful in your quest to relax.
Sure, you could have found these folks yourself with some time and energy. But we've done some of the preliminary legwork for you, weeding out the less reputable firms, laying aside the really crazy ideas and products, and trying to present to you what we think are the best relaxation products on the web.
And, of course we'll be offering up a selection of relaxing music too.
At the bottom of almost every page is a shaded box of text that expresses our sincere hope that you will be successful in your journey toward greater relaxation and effective stress management. Those aren't just nice words, we really mean them.
Really.
